As I sit and type this note, I see the beauty of the day, the snow-covered streets, my four-legged hound and my partner in life. I am forced to realize how truly blessed I am. I wish joy to each of you on this glorious Sunday afternoon.

Each day is a gift

    Dear Gerald,
I just saw your blog, as I was putting together my own document for promotion (a whole job by itself). I had heard about the planned Celebration for May and wanted to offer my congratulations. Steve looks and sounds like a great guy. I am thrilled for you, and delighted that it looks as if you may well stay in Michigan for a good LONG time!
I also want to offer my congratulations on finishing the doctorate. I know how difficult it is to get that accomplished while teaching.
SO>>>>best wishes for 2011 to be the best ever. And lots of luck on the impending surgery.

    Warmly,
    Nina
